Which to Choose

Choosing fragrant plants can be sooo pleasurable. It happens to a favorite past time of mine. That, and finding rare plants to add to my growing repertoire.

The best advice I can give is to choose what you really really like. Some can wind up biting you later. If you prefer something more sublte, then stay away from Narcissis in the house.

Oh My Gosh!!! That can change the holiday spirit for some.

I will be adding many varieties over the next few weeks as well as ideas for bed development and primo locations. Planting time is just around the corner, so planning now can help us pass the winter dol drums.

So far this spring I've been acquiring fragrant plants for my cat. The catnip she loves, and it has to live in a cage so that she, and the neighbor cats, don't overdose and kill it. Catmint makes her say "meow" but she doesn't want to eat it or roll in it. I just gave that plant to my daughter whose cat ate (totally to the dirt!) a large lush thriving spider plant.
